FIND YOUR EQUILIBRIUM
When money’s not there, the mad chase of it keeps us from thinking about anything else;
When it’s there, the crazy spending and fun do not help either.
When love is not there, the sulking and anger keep us from making friends with our inner man;
When it’s there, the loss in her embrace doesn’t help either.
Hardly can we pause in the middle of penury to make any reasonable decisions;
Nor can we jettison love when we don’t even have it.
Best way to go becomes…
Since we can’t bully our way to happiness when we’re sad,
We can at least sink into some deliberate sadness when we’re happy.
…We can’t dance when there’s no music,
We can abruptly stop dancing in the middle of loud music.
We can't spend when there's no money,
But we can refuse to spend even when there is.
The idea is... find some serenity in your best, most gleeful moments,
And get acquainted with your inner man.
Learn some poverty when you’re paid,
And some coping without love even while you have it.
The friendship you strike with yourself in good times,
And the awareness of life's fluctuating conditions you achieve,
Will see you through days of penury, and days of lovelessness.
