Get rich Quick.
Imagine that you want to make a lot of money relatively quickly what do you do? Do what wanna be politicians have been doing for centuries. Invest a little bit of money to get your self on the ballot then begin to campaign. Use 'shank's mare' and shoe leather rather spending money on advertising. Go from door to door and beg for money, ahem, I mean request campaign donations.
You'll likely not get a lot but probably you'll bet some. Invest some of that money in 'door hangers'. (advertising designed to be left hanging on a doornob). Now go to town. Hang those campaign brochures everywhere.
Keep this up until the election is over and you lose. Likely as not you'll have some of your 'campaign funds' unspent. Depending on how well you can bafflegab depends on how much money you make. I'm convinced from observation that there are a significant number of people who do this.
One problem. You might win. AOC in New York City won by doing much the same thing. A truck driver in New Jersey did too. Now what do you do?
Well you could do like H.Ross Perot did a long time ago. It looked like he was winning so he dropped out. His excuse was 'they're out to get me. I have to protect my family." Someone else did that too. I forget what his name was.
OR...you could serve. Depending on the office you stand to make a fairly good chunk of change, lots of bennies for not much (if any) work. Just vote the way your party tells you too and you'll be good. In the meanwhile continue your campaign, rake in the cash and put more money in your retirement....er...campaign fun(d).
