I grew up in the modern world - probably most of us have -
where schools, governments, doctors,
and everything on the outside of us had all the answers.
We didn't delight in life as learning,
as "education" was perceived to happen during the 9 months
of sitting in a classroom regurgitating force fed information.
We needed to ask the government permission
to get married and divorced, to "drive" our cars, and even to feed the homeless.
We had them keep track of our financial affairs, our travel to other countries,
the birth of our children, the contents of the food we eat,
and the overall health and well-being of our families.
Women rarely had "natural" birth,
children were all fluoridated and immunized, boys circumcised,
and regular check-ups for everyone was the way to stay in tune with our bodies.
Gratefully times are changing,
and we can see through the facade
where the answers lie with the institutions,
pharmaceuticals, food pyramids, court systems,
and other entities we have given our lives to.
Even if we haven't figured out what to do about
all of these engrained scenarios we have adopted,
we can begin right now being responsible for our own health.
We can take back our own power and tune into our own bodies.
We can decide what is in our best interests and what is not.
We can look for our own solutions for health and longevity,
and trust that nature has been here from the beginning to support our thrival.
Quote from "Full Spectrum Health" - author
It isn't always easy to trust the self,
especially since we are so accustomed to looking to others for the answers to our problems.
Sometimes their answers appear to be the quickest, easiest, most convenient ways,
though they are often mere bandaids that mask the core issue
that created our illness/problems in the first place.
Most often these "solutions" perpetuate the issue,
and compound the complications by further taxing our unhealthy bodies.
To thrive we must become empowered to let go of much of what we have learned, and instead engage the healthiest, most natural and sustainable long-term solutions for our own bodies.
The answers are at our fingertips,
we just must first be willing to let go of the fear of our own empowerment.
