This was the second wave of flooding after heavy and prolonged rainfall. The level in the Vologda River has risen even higher than after the ice break and the first wave of flooding.
I have a visual meter of the water level in the river – a concrete curb, and if it is hidden by water, then the level has reached critical levels.
Household plots located in the flooded area were flooded in some places.
There was still no major flood, but this large water created interesting views that are inaccessible at normal times.
Now the average level is already there – the most inconvenient amount of water – has not yet passed under the Oktyabrsky Bridge.
I want a repeat of 2024, when there was almost no water in the rivers towards the end of summer.
The interesting color of the deep-flowing river was not only during the day, but also at night.
It's unusual to walk along the embankment and look at the water, which is almost under your feet.
I usually saw this on Sukhona and in April with ice, but here the grass is already green.
It's good that Vologda has a waterway...I would not be able to live without water in the form of a river or lake.
But the lake is still water, and I do not know how I would feel.
But I know for sure that I'm comfortable with running water...although I'm afraid of strong currents.
