It all starts from a little bud in early spring. They grow fast in the warm spring sun. Thousands of them! On the bushes of Cistus plant.
It is quite an invasive plant around even though it looks amazing when in bloom. Large white or pink flowers that cover the fields, sides of the roads and more open, sunny parts of woods. They spread fast and need to be removed before the summer homes. Highly flammable, sticky substance means no good for the area. They handle the Portuguese heat well, but they also burn easily.
