Amarachi was the only daughter of the house and because of this her day had really spoiled her but in a good way as she was still very respectful. She had 3 brothers and she is the eldest.
One day, he had passed away and she was supposed to take over the responsibility of her father but according to Igbo tradition, her brother was supposed to be the head. This has caused a lot of internal issues between her and her siblings so the mother has to step in. All she had to do was simply look at them and there was not much ambiguity as they all understood what her message meant, that they should behave.
Eventually, the burial was a success and the whole family went about their daily business. When Amarachi and her family got home, their mother called a family meeting and complained about the way they had behaved out there. She explained to them that no matter what the issue is, a family should always try to resolve their issues internally and only call for external support when it's above them.
Amarachi and her siblings reconciled and made peace with each other. She made a lot of inquiries about the Igbo tradition and this broadened her view on a lot of things.
