Summer Camp 2018 : Last Days Harvest Ministry
On "Holy Week", christian believer of different sect commemorate the suffering and death on the cross of our Lord and Savior. We are called not to endure the cross, though some "literally do put-up with the cross", but rather to 'embrace' the cross. The suffering of Jesus gives meaning to our own sufferings. It was through his acceptance of suffering and death that Jesus brought us life and liberation. We cannot ask God to give us a life without pain or sorrow. Nor should we feel he does not care about us because such things happen.
Summer Camp is a weekend designed to experience the goodness of God in all of His power and love.
While most of the people believe that on "Holy week" is the time to behave the most, our church's way of commemorating the death of Jesus is different. Every year, holy week is intended to celebrate Gods' love through a "Summer Camp" which is scheduled for four days and it's for free. Our church leaders took advantage of the long weekend where people rest from work and students are on vacation. A perfect time for fellows old and new to join the burning hearts of believers in :
• exalting Jesus through extended times of worship,
• instructed by the teaching of the Word,
• and experience ministry in the power of Holy Spirit.
Gathered here were fellow believers from satellite churches who were invited to join the summer camp: Bohol, Negros, Leyte, Olango Island, Bantayan Island, Oslob, and a few from Mindanao.
