The necessity of saving money for the future is essential for all of us, including the younger population, which I agree to some extent. It is rather a mandate, to always save up some money or some sorts of assets as an emergency back up when necessary. As we live in an environment, where many unprecedented things occur, on which we often do not have control over, which is applicable for everyone who is capable of earning and has responsibilities.
However, enjoying the life to the fullest is also a priority not to look over. Death is evident and we have a certain time limit of how long we are going to live. Certainly, one cannot confidently say "I will have 10 more years to do so, hence, for now I will just spend my whole energy in saving-up!" Which is why, we have to spend on things we like to do, that gives us joy, is the eccessence of our livelihood. Some things, you cannot just shelve for the future, because things require the right time. There will be many instances, where you will have enough money, but you will be unable to find the enthusiasm you had before, when you bucket-listed.
Even for me, as a part of the younger generation, I have responsibilities. Hence, saving up some money is necessary and wise while I adore the way of life and want to extract all the accessence I possibly can before I reach a stage where I will eventually lose to aging, which is evident. I do not want to be a person who will spend the life saving up for the fear of the future, while forgetting to live the present. Also, the person who is reckless and goes with the flow while not thinking about unprecedented incidents that might occur.
I believe saving money for our future is necessary for us, be it young or elderly, it is also obligatory not to forget to live and lose focus of the present and spending the precious part of life fearing and planning for the unpredictable future! We should save enough to avoid a crisis, but not let go of the current moments slip through our fingers while spending too much energy, time on something we are not even certain that we will be able to make it to!
And yet...yet like many of us, no matter how eloquently we convince ourselves often, I cannot help but constantly be in that dilemma, particularly when it poses such threat in existence! -_-
