Menurut saya, ikan Depik merupakan salah satu nama ikan khas danau laut tawar yang memiliki ukuran kecil namun rasanya sangat nikmat untuk dijadikan lauk saat makan, apalagi menikmatinya di tepi danau laut tawar yang sejuk dan ditemani dengan keindahan alam di sana.
Meski ikan Depik ini dikenal khas danau laut tawar, ternyata ikan tersebut juga banyak di dapati pada musim dingin, makanya ketika musim dingin tiba, ikan Depik sangat banyak membanjiri pasar yang ada di kawasan Aceh Tengah. Selain ikan Depik yang basah, juga ada yang sudah dikeringkan. Jadi sering dijadikan sebagai oleh-oleh bagi para pecinta wisata yang mengunjungi danau laut tawar.
