Hello friends! Hopefully you all are enjoying your time. Here I'm presenting 2nd Episode of Amazing Facts Of Cricket.
Story Of 3 & 7 Runs
□ It is so possible & normal for any batsman to take 3 runs by running. There is maybe no batsman who didn't ran for 3.
Really? What do you think?
If you think, there is no batsman like this then you are wrong!
Because, The Chris Gayle is only batsman who never runs for 3! But he already scored more than 13000 runs in his career.
□ In international cricket, such incidents have happened very rarely where a batsman has been able to get more than 6 runs from a ball (countable as Batsman's run only).
The latest example of this type of incident is Australian batsman Andrew Symonds. In an ODI match in November 2008 in Brisbane, he scored 8 runs from a ball. The bowler was Ian O'brien (nz).
He took 4 runs by running, while taking the fourth run, an overthrow over the keeper's head crossed the boundary line and added four more runs to his name.
But the most interesting incident was happened in 1986 in a Test match between Pakistan and England. On that day, the two Pakistani batsmen was scored 7 runs by just running continuously! However, they got extra runs from overthrow.
That's all for today, thank you for visiting.
