Original Wasabi is paler than the fake Wasabi (Seiyō Wasabi, Kona Wasabi) and much more expensive. Seiyō Wasabi is made of horseradish, mustard, starch, and green food coloring or spinach powder. The original Wasabi (Hon Wasabi, Nama Wasabi) is much more expensive than the fake one. One Hon Wasabi plant can cost as much as 200€.
