Here is short history or you may call it an introduction about Steemit.com
What is Steemit?
The Steemit is a social network like Facebook, but one big difference between Facebook and Steemit is, Facebook didn't pay a penny to its user, but Steemit pay for posting and like (upvoting) And commenting on any steemains post or in other words Steemit pay for your valuable time using it.
When Steemit was started?
Steemit network is started or created in 2016, by @Ned Scott and @Dan Larimer and also creators of BitShares.
How Steemit gives Reward?
Steemit gives reward both authors and creators. Postings and comments reward split into the 75 % to author and 25& to curators, And this reward can be claim after 7 days of post or comment.

At the start of this website there were only 100k register member in Steemit, but slowly and gradually it increases.
