It's very likely you have never heard of me before, or so much as seen me mentioned on the internet before. I have never created a blog or post that created thousands of dollars virtually in a matter of a few days. But you know what? I am a Millionaire just like some of the famous names you see on the internet. I became a Millionaire in a different way, by hard work, honesty, integrity, sacrifice and pride within myself. Learn More About Me Here
I don't sell myself on false illusions or prey on the gullible by claiming if only you follow what I have done, you too can do the same. You will notice I won't use names in this post, as I feel each person holds it's own values and weight within themselves, it is on them at the end of the day if they feel they did an honorable thing to make that buck they made today, which will differ from person to person.
Before I get too far into this, let's define "Millionaire."
"A millionaire is an individual whose net worth or wealth is equal to or exceeds one million units of currency. It can also be a person who owns one million units of currency in a bank account or savings account. " Resource
You probably have figured out this isn't a glamorous get rich scheme post or some rehashed basic follow this guide to riches. But I am going to share with you how I made my millions by driving truck. I am not talking about a little Tonka toy half ton truck or hell, even a full ton pick me up truck. I am talking about hauling heavy shit and laying pavement.
A common denominator I've observed among people who have done financially well during their lifetime is that they started acting on their ambitions to earn money at a very young age.
For me, it started when I was 12. I grew up on a crop farm in the Midwest where I worked the neighbor's pig farm. I was able to turn my little shitty pig job into a mini piglet enterprise within the first year by trading my labor for piglets then reselling for a nice profit.
Flipping pigs are not what made me millions, though, but it was the spark inside my 12-year-old self that has lasted me a lifetime.
So what did make me the money? I will be honest here, I have tried several different so called get rich quick gimmicks through the years, I left everyone learning the same thing, "If it sounds too good to be true, it is." I have always held a job since a very young age, I saved most of my money, I tried to go to college (liberals ruined it for me) and I worked many different jobs and trades until I came across the career I fell in love with .... well kind of, it's more of a love-hate relationship.
Right around the age of 25, I discovered my love for the open road, driving a semi truck seemed like the perfect opportunity. After all, truckers are immortalized in song and lore as a romantic free spirit and a weary gypsy, right? However, the truth really lies somewhere in the middle. But could a person really become a millionaire sitting their ass driving around the country sight seeing? Oh, but it's not quite that glamorous.
Let me tell you what it takes to become a millionaire trucker ...
Hard Work and Dedication
You might have read some of the sob stories floating around the internet of how some truckers feel they get screwed every second they are out there being a trucker. The truth is, most of it falls back on themselves as being lazy, unprofessional, and undedicated, among other reasons as well. To fully succeed as a trucker you need to be willing to work hard, be dedicated and be professional.
Honesty and Integrity
A business can not fully succeed long term without honesty and integrity being a core part of the business beliefs and values, including driving a truck. Even if you drive for a company or someone else, start looking at it as your own business if you want to take it to the next level and become a millionaire trucker.
Sacrifice
I would be willing to bet not a single successful person didn't endure many sacrifices to get where they are today. I would feel safe to say I bet and
/
both have sacrificed in many ways to get this awesome platform up and running.
Most of the time these sacrifices go unnoticed or in silence to a normal person looking in. Have you ever thought about what it would be like to be away from your wife/husband and kids for weeks sometimes months at times? Could you imagine yourself doing that? Truckers do it all the time, the successful truckers figure out ways to lessen this burden as much as possible while still striving for ultimate success.
How about every time you take a shower you need to wear flip flops to ensure you may not catch something in a shower that thousands before you have used? Or how about hours that a person might sit in a traffic jam away from home not moving, and not make any money because he or she isn't moving.
There are so many more sacrifices I could probably write a full book on them about driving a truck, but you know what? They are what they are and it is how a person handles, adjusts and reacts to them that will determine success or failure.
And Finally Pride
Taking pride in what you do is seen by others. It's your image out there, how do you want yourself to look to the rest of the world? Take pride in what you do, others take notice of it!
So what is the purpose of me writing this you might be asking? I decided to write this because I felt so many people look at Steemit as a "get rich quick" scheme. If you look deep into it, it is much more, and not to mention getting rich quick is not a common feat. Of course, if you like to take risks, buy some Steem and invest in Steemit!
For me, personally, Steemit is what I hope gives me the reason to "shift gears" and move away from my successful career as a driver into something I have longed to do for a very long time, write and entertain.
However, to be successful at Steemit, I will need to do at the very least the same things I did to become a millionaire trucker.
