The necessity of sub-channels for your Steem account.
The past few weeks have been great for Steem. It's currently the most used block chain, based on the number of transactions. And new initiatives to use the block-chain pop up every day. But eventhough the quality of the Steem network is fine. I'm starting to see some problems here.
In particular the 'one account per person rule'. Although we need this to prevent people from creating hundreds of accounts, and spamming the network with self-votes. It's side-effect is that their's no real way to' diversify' your account. Or at least not if you want to keep your account 'clean'.
An example
Let's say you are a stock analist who likes to write articles about current trends in the market. And have serious discussions about economics. Then the people who want to follow you probably want to see more of that content. Al great thusfar.
But what if you, later on, want to share some pictures on Steepshot. Or post something funny on Dtube. By the 'one account per person rule'. Then this would all have to be posted by the same account. The same account were your followers are expecting blogs about the market trends, of price predictions about certain crypto currencies.
Your followers might be irritated, because if they follow you for a specific type of content. Then they don't want their personal feed being clogged up with pictures they aren't interested in. They might even decide not to follow you anymore.
How to get solve this
Currently, the only way bypass this problem, is by sticking to a reserved selection of content. And not spreading out too much. But this means that if you choose to do this. You will miss out on a lot of opportunities. Along with the lost potential of the posts you decided not to share.
An possible better solution would be. That account could create multiple sub-channels. In which they can posts the content as they wish. But still having the advantage of separating different types of content.
