Hello lovelies! It’s Saturday 17th August! The weekend is here!
I’m a bit late posting this as we had a bit of a plumbing disaster (bath leak in one of the rooms which has dripped down into the apartment too, soaking the sofa, and creating quite a mess to clean up). Luckily (kind of) things go quiet here after today. The apartment people left this morning (before the leak) and there is no one in there until Friday. The people in the room go tomorrow so we can shut that room down as well. I’ve done a temporary fix which will allow them to use the shower (not have a bath) and then I’ll tackle it tomorrow or Monday. We'll need to let things dry out as well as fixing the problem that caused the leak.
I am continuing to exercise my brain by learning (very basic) Spanish and the guitar. Currently, I have learned a few phrases in Spanish and the A and D chords on the guitar. I now need to practice and practice to speed up chord changes. Watch the video to see my progress so far!
I have a sore throat (one of our guests have gifted that to me I think), so didn’t get much sleep last night. We have some family here, so we had a good night last night.
