No hay medias tintas. Y al ser una ciudad totalmente plana, además de tener problemas con el alcantarillado, muchas calles se inundan cubriendo el pavimento irregular. La circulación de vehículos se ralentiza para evitar los temibles huecos. Estos podrían doblar el rin de la llanta y hacer que una billetera llore de dolor. Muy copiosa la lluvia, se detiene la ciudad porque la gente no sale de sus casas.

La comida en la región zuliana tiene una particularidad: es muy rica, pero también de la que la mayoría de los médicos no recomendaría. De hecho, el estado Zulia es el de mayor incidencia en problemas de corazón originados por la dieta consumida acá. Aún así, siendo que volveremos a nuestra dieta usual (mucho más saludable en casa), nos hemos estado permitiendo algo de excesos ¿Cómo no hacerlo? Uno de los placeres que tiene asociado el viajar, es comer los platos regionales de la zona que visitas. Pecado capital si no lo haces. He probado antes la mayoría de los platos porque residimos tres años en la región hacia comienzos del siglo. Con todo y eso, antier probé por vez primera una arepa cabimera. Sobran los epítetos.

Hacia la tarde-noche había dejado de llover y el flujo de público aumentó en la exhibición. Demasiada gente. Pero nos ha llamado la atención que algunas personas parecieran que están corriendo un automóvil. Ven la exposición como si alguien les estuviera arengando para que apuraran. Extraño. Otros van distraídos con sus teléfonos móviles ¿Para qué vienen a una exposición? Por supuesto que mis compañeros en el stand se han dado cuenta e intervienen colocando su humanidad de cuando en cuando en el paso de personas para ralentizar el flujo y que vean nuestro stand. Si no sirve ésta estrategia, entregan uno de los folletos simples donde se explica HIVE con la esperanza de que detengan el paso para que pregunten. Se ha logrado crear interés con esto.

La nota bonita del día de ayer fue el reencuentro con dos primos a los cuales tenía mucho tiempo sin ver. Viajar por trabajo también sirve para los reencuentros. Al primero lo ví en el stand de HIVE, porque el me sigue en redes sociales y al mirar que me encontraba en el Hotel Tibisay del Lago, se acercó a saludar. Al otro primo lo ví en casa de mi tía Pastora, quien me recibe en su apartamento. Frank es alguien especial para mí porque me acompañó en los tiempos donde construimos el futuro grupo de empresas, muy hábil con la computadora, me ayudó mucho en ese tiempo. La verdad fue un honor y una alegría verle. Nos leemos por allí.
