As the state where I live turns into a giant lake with islands. I've seen this comic that showed a common sentiment in these moments. We have not the luxury of be able to cry as we must stay strong. Not lose emotional control in order to save what we can and not panic as our world seems to be collapsing around us.
Some people disliked the comic accusing it of mocking our situation here, but as a survivor of such tragedy I see nothing wrong with said comic. It reminded me about movies like The Pianist and Life Is Beautiful, where protagonists were trying to find sparks of joy in their lives while living the industrialized horrors of the Holocaust. In a similar way, during the whole ordeal we were trying to find sparks of joy in our lives while our furniture was being washed away by the waters from a former shallow river that used to flow about 3 Km from my house.
