Hello my dear friends…
With this post, i want to share about my bathroom journey. So, just a day after i came back to Medan, my dad decided to renovate our bathroom. Such a perfect time, or not. Because it left my room in such a big mess. Anyway, halfway through it i am interested to documenting the before and after process. Sadly, the before pictures that i took is the condition where its already been half way done. So, the walls already be made and i dont have the pictures if the original before this all happened.
Before
As i said, this is not really the before because they already made the new wall. Before, they destroyed the whole bathroom. I dont even understand why the wall needed to be destroyed? Dont you can just put the new wall over the old one? I also noticed immediately that they move the door to the bathroom to be more in the center of the wall. In the original bathroom, the door was more to the right. Its really a pity that i forgot to take the bathroom picture before all of this happened because its totally different. Before, our sink was outside and in this time my dad decided to make a bigger sink and put this inside. I dont even know if this is a good idea or not because now our bathroom became so much smaller because the new sinn that my dad especially ordered took up so much space.
After
This is the right side of my bathroom. As i said before, the right side is fully occupied with the sink. Totally not understand what is inside my dad’s head when he decided it, but oh well its already done and i can only make the best out of the situation.
We have the mirror on top of the sink. Its just feel like a must and it feels so weird to not have a mirror above the sink. My mom bought the mirror in Ace Hardware. Anyway, we dont have IKEA in here which is very upsetting. So, we usually buy furniture in local shoo or in Ace Hardware.
In the space below the mirror, i put some of my bath necessities in there such as shampoo, body wash, condition, body scrub, body lotion, and face wash.
In the right side of the sink. I put two books because i like to read books during my business in toilet. Its just feels better rather than playing with my phone. I changed the books after i finished it just to keep the variation. As for the book’s holder, i’ve decided to use a plant, a cacti. Next to it, a must have in every room we enter, a reed diffuser. I love good smell and i need good scents so i will never accept if i enter a stinky room.
On the left is not much. I put my favorite facial tissue in there. Two other linen / room spray to spray the room when the smell is unpleasant to the point that my reed diffuser cant handle. They’re the help. Other than that, its just my toothbrush and toothpaste.
This is what our sink looks like. Its quite wide so i dont have to worry the water spilled and make a mess. Our sink before this was so small that i always make a water mess after i wash my face.
Its a hook in the door so we can put towel and clothes in there when we’re showering.
This is the toilet. My dad changed the toilet from squatting toilet to sitting toilet like this. I personally fine with both.
This is the shower area. My dad also changed the shower because we use a tub before. Its because we need to save space that already been taken by the sink.
This is our walk that also changed. Before its a plain pink wall.
Last but not least, this is our new door. I like how it has a mirror .
