The Alpha
In the midst of chaos, there's calm hiding somewhere and waiting to be noticed. In the multitudes of happenings, there are lessons to be learnt. What each day holds, we know not, until the day arrives and we're in it. The life we live is only what we were handed if we have no idea what we want.
Society can very much make it seem as though it were a sin to dream. They make it seem as though it were an abomination to want to try out a different path. The safest bet is not always the best bet and in fact, the safest bet is not always all that safe at the end of the day.
I thought humans were supposed to be adventurous by nature. I thought it was supposed to be normal for someone to go out of their way to make new discoveries. I thought we celebrate visionaries and inventors. I thought we praise and appreciate those who end up being unique.
While it appears like we do this, we actually don't. In a quest to not disrupt the balance of the universe, as though it were balanced on the tip of a needle, many people have chosen the safe path. Now doing this is not bad in any way as long as everyone else recognises that it's your choice. The problem comes when you now decide to enforce your choice as the only right choice.
Without dreams, the world is a very boring place. The world needs dreamers and that's why they exist. Dreamers don't choose to be dreamers, they are chosen. Nobody in their right senses would wake up one day and say he wants to help build his city when his politicians are busy squandering government funds. Sane people will tell him how impossible it is and how much of a waste of time the entire endeavour will end up being.
Not all dreamers will tell you about their dreams and even when they try, you might end up not getting the full picture. So you begin to misunderstand, misquote and mis-everything else there is to mis- them. Dreamers may have the end goal in mind without the details of the steps needed to arrive there. While others see this as a mountain too high to climb, the dreamer trusts that all will be well - eventually.
Eventually!
That's all that matters in the theatre of dreams. The idea of time as one very fast paced rat trying to escape before the lights are turned on seems not to exist in the theatre of dreams. Instead, there's this calm that accompanies the fact that the end picture already exists in the dreamer's head.
Dreamers are superheroes with superpowers. They really shouldn't have to fight before they're allowed to be themselves. There's so much life has to offer if only we branch out to try new things.
