When you are diagnosed with an autoimmune disease, they tell you your body is attacking itself. So therefore this is all your fault. After fighting this for over 20 years, I disagree with this idea.
Most of us get irritation when we eat something inflammatory. The effect can be immediate or come overnight. Those of us with autoimmune disease are more sensitive than others who we call the “pre-sick.”
Environment plays a large part in the severity of our symptoms. Once you remove toxins and inflammatory substances from your life, things become much better. After you do this good for yourself and then fall off the wagon, the symptoms come back even stronger than before.
Most of us have issues we can control and those we cannot. For example, if we have been injected with heavy metals, there are ways to remove some of them but not all.
One example is deodorant. Many of those products contain aluminum which is irritating and inflammatory among other issues. Those of use who stop putting this substance into our lymph node saturated armpits (freshly shaven) see almost immediate improvement in some of the symptoms. But it is very difficult to remove what we have already ingested.
All we can do is continue to try.
