Hello friends, I hope you are very well, I have really enjoyed your creations, and I am glad to see that the community grows and improves with each passing day where all users show us their wonderful creations. Today I was practicing scale modeling, an activity that I have always liked and that I have practiced with various materials. On this occasion I have made a combat fighter, the F-22 Raptor, one of the most powerful aircraft in the world and the one that I personally like the most for its futuristic style design. I like to do modeling with simple templates without many details, just capturing the essence of the object, so I decided to do it with some simple plans, I hope you like it.
Hola amigos, espero que se encuentren muy bien, yo he disfrutado mucho de sus creaciones, y me alegra ver que la comunidad crece y mejora cada día que pasa donde todos los usuarios nos muestran sus maravillosas creaciones. Yo hoy estuve practicando el modelismo a escala, un actividad que me ha gustado desde siempre y que la he practicado con diversos materiales. He realizado en esta oportunidad un caza de combate, el Raptor F-22 uno de los aviones más poderosos del mundo y el que a mi personalmente me gusta más por su diseño de estilo futurista. ME gusta hacer el modelismo con plantillas sencillas sin muchos detalles, solamente capturando la esencia del objeto, así que con unos simples planos me propuse a hacerlo, espero que les guste.
PROCESS
I used an old shoe box, these boxes have a very resistant cardboard but easy to cut with scissors or a knife. I made a complete template of the plane and its shape, with the main wings and the tail wings, this template will be used for the bottom part, and then I made another template the same only without the main wings, this one will go on top to form the plane and give more consistency to the model.
Utilicé una vieja caja de zapatos, estas cajas tiene un cartón muy resistente pero fácil de cortar con tijeras o navajas. Hice una plantilla completa del avión y su forma, con las alas principales y las alas traseras, esta plantilla será utilizada para la parte inferior, y luego hice otra plantilla igual solo que sin las alas principales, esta irá en la parte superior para formar el avión y darle más consistencia al modelo.
I cut the first template that is the bottom one, as it is the one that covers the most space, it is the one that has the greatest support for the airplane model. When cutting the template I made some lines where I will later make half of a cut that allows me to easily fold the cardboard and give it shape, because cardboard does not bend easily without deforming.
Corté la primera plantilla que es la inferior, como es la que abarca más espacio es la que tiene el mayor soporte para el modelo de avión. Al cortar la plantilla hice unas líneas donde luego haré la mitad de un corte que me permita doblar fácilmente el cartón y poder darle forma, porque el cartón no se dobla de forma sencilla sin deformarse.
The second step was to make the upper template, this template complements most of the plane, it also contains the part that will be the cabin. So if you look at the front it has two cuts that I then glued together.
El segundo paso fue hacer la plantilla superior, esta plantilla complementa la mayor parte del avión, contiene también la parte que será la cabina. Así que si se fijan en la parte frontal tiene dos cortes que luego los uní con pegamento.
Next I begin to make the templates for the cockpit and the nose of the plane, this consists of two pieces, the lower part and the upper part where the pilot's cabin goes. Once they are ready, I glue the two main templates, and you can see how the plane takes shape, then I make the cabin to which I add a piece of plastic to simulate the glass of the cabin.
Seguidamente comienzo a hacer las plantillas para la cabina y la punta del avión, esta consta de dos piezas, la parte inferior y la parte superior donde va la cabina del piloto. Al tenerlas listas uno las dos plantillas principales con pegamento, y se puede ver como el avión cobra forma, despues hago la cabina a la cual le agrego una pieza de plástico para simular el vidrio de la cabina.
Then I made the flight stabilizers that go in the back and I painted the glass with a gold-colored marker, since the glass in this plane has that hue. To give the F-22 more realism I prepared acrylic paint, I mixed black and white and I took out two shades of gray, I painted the whole plane with the light gray color tone and then with the darker gray I made some spots, these spots belong to the design camouflage of the plane since it has stealth technology. Finally I made a cardboard base which I painted blue to make it contrast with the plane, in this way my small scale modeling project was completed.
Después hice los estabilizadores de vuelo que van en la parte trasera y el vidrio lo pinté con un marcador de color dorado, ya que este avión el vidrio posee esa tonalidad. Para darle más realismo al F-22 preparé pintura acrílica, mezcle blanco y negro y saqué dos tonos de grises, pinte todo el avión con el tono de color gris claro y luego con el gris más oscuro hice algunas manchas, estas manchas pertenecen al diseño de camuflaje del avión ya que tiene tecnología de sigilo. Por último hice una base de cartón la cual pinte de color azúl para que hiciera contraste con el avión, de esta manera quedó finalizado mi pequeño proyecto de modelismo a escala.
FINAL WORK
This is how the F-22 known as Raptor was finished, the Russians made a very similar 5th generation fighter, the Sukhoi 57, however it has been an aircraft that is not ready, and with so many delays, perhaps there will be years left without seeing action. I'm not a lover of war or anything, but of human engineering and science, and military vehicles have always caught my attention. I hope you liked it, as you can see, with few pieces you can achieve a lot and with creativity achieve realism. I say goodbye until a new opportunity.
Así quedó terminado el F-22 conocido como Raptor, los rusos hicieron un caza de 5ta generación muy parecido, el Sukhoi 57, sin embargo ha sido un avión que no está listo, y con tantos atrasos tal vez queden años sin ver acción. No soy amante de la guerra ni nada, pero si de la ingeniería humana y la ciencia, y los vehículos militares me han llamado siempre la atención. Espero que les haya gustado, como pueden ver, con pocas piezas e pued elograr mucho y con creatividad lograr realismo. Me despido hasta una nueva oportunidad.
