SBD SBD SBD - Great Ways To Earn Steem Dollars and Make $$$

With every day where the Steem Dollar (SBD) remains on the moon (currently at $11) all authors and commentators on Steemit start to feel a rapid change of possibilities in their lifes. Let us bath together in the juice of the delicious fruits we reap and see what we can do to earn and spent the riches streaming from the Steem blockchain into our wallets.

If you are new to Steemit or struggeling to get some upvotes to be part of this gold rush I have good news for you: There are some great ways to make money these days - even for beginners!

Utopian.io

On the relatively new open source platform by Hive account@elear based on Steem you can earn guaranteed upvotes if you contribute to any open source project listed on GitHub (which most of them are) and if you follow the strict Utopian rules. You don't even have to be a programmer. The following categories are available to contribute to:

• Suggestion (everybody)
• Sub-Project (developers)
• Development (developers)
• Bug Hunting (everybody)
• Translation (linguists)
• Graphics (designers, illustrators, animators)
• Analysis (everybody)
• Visibility (everybody)
• Documentation (selectees)
• Tutorials (everybody)
• Video Tutorials (everybody)
• Copywriting (selectees)

All of these categories will be checked by a moderator and if approved will receive a Hive account@utopian-io upvote between 3% and 25% which is currently worth ~ $19 - $156! Keep in mind though that from the 75% author rewards you receive you will automatically share 20% with Utopian sponsors and another 5% with Utopian moderators. That means you will receive ~56% of the post value after substracting the 25% curation reward as well. But that doesn't matter because you would have probably never received such high upvotes otherwise and you will still make plenty of money.

Just a small $10 upvote from Utopian after all shares substracted is still worth $5.6 in Steem from which you receive 50% in Steem Power and 50% in Steem Dollars (make sure to keep the default 50/50 payout). While the SP is not that much and depends on the Steem price the Steem Dollar on the other hand ignores the market value and pays out as if it would be worth $1 USD! That means you will always get $2.8 Steem Dollar out of this $10 Utopian upvote which is currently worth over $30 USD $$$.

DTube

The decentralized video platform by Hive account@heimindanger is also based on Steem and has just received a big 1 million Steem Power delegation. They are upvoting videos with currently nearly up to $170. All you have to do is create videos like vlogs, tutorials, interviews, animations or your own show and upload it exclusively to DTube. You should avoid double uploads on YouTube and DTube, or even double Steem posts with both versions, you should avoid piracy videos and hate speech. Then you have a good chance to get a manual upvote from the DTube curators. The best chances for a super upvote are visibility efforts to promote DTube to your followers on other platforms (you need big numbers!).

If you do that every day you have very good chances to get DTube upvotes and quickly find a new audience.

Commenting

It has never been easier to make good money with comments on Steemit. If you write many good comments you will receive plenty of upvotes. Even if they are just a few cents they add up. And the payout will be 50/50 so you can earn Steem Dollars with them. Make a few dozen comments every day and you will see some sweet SBD at the end of the week.

Exchange it into Bitcoin & co.

After you finally received your precious SBD you need to exchange them (of course you can hold them but I think you can do so much with the liquidity you get from selling it). You can either use the internal market or external ones like Bittrex. Either way, you will end up with something else. You can get BitCoin or any other cryptocurrency and you hold or trade with it. Good times to do so but be careful, the next correction mitght be waiting around the corner.

Exchange it into Steem

Personally I think this is much smarter. Steem has a positive uptrend and many buy Steem for their SBD which continues this effect. You can do so much with Steem Power here and create tons of good opportunities for passive income. Delegation, curation, whitelisted vote selling and much more - Steem will flow into your account for sure. You can also hold some liquid Steem and react to the market as you see fit.

Do SteemGigs and Art Contests

Do you need a new logo for that cool Steem idea you have? Would you like someone to design a website or create an animated intro video for you? Maybe you want someone to program a tool or website for you? Or you want a bunch of funny GIFs with kittens?
