I got the boys to school yesterday morning then was on my way to the hospital early. It was about 10am when they suddenly came to take her away and then I followed a bit later when called over. Wasn't sure I could go with for the procedure so hung in her room. It was a bit of a rush for her to get ready for the trip to the other building.

I headed over to the surgery building and was able to be with her until they took her back for the scoping.

It was only an hour procedure from the time I left her side until she was back out in a mildly anesthetic haze and soon headed back to her room with her souvenir gall stone in her possession.

After a bag of fluids was drained into her system we eventually got the release procedure going. Doctors and nurses checking on her, vitals all good, and finally she was allowed water but still no solids until today. We were out of the hospital around 3pm.

The schlep home went okay and we were home before 4pm. Since she wasn't able to eat yet I made dinner for the boys and I of chicken breast and salad. I got a new job which I setup for Monday afternoon after I take a tree down for one of my clients. Then Wednesday and Thursday will be an irrigation install for another client.

I scrubbed my rear wheel on the bike and re-lubed it, I have to dink with the rear derailleur today to tune it better and go over the bike really well to make sure it is prepped. My kit is ready and I am anxious for the ride to start.

Today is likely more weather. The Giro is ongoing this morning, we have to go in and get my car from the ER, I have a recovery ride to do before the 50 miler tomorrow, work on my bike, get the cut grass around the farm shuttled to the sheep pen, move the chicks to the brooder hut, and put the new road tires on J's mtn bike.

About 24 hours till I am heading to the race start. Really looking forward to this.
