After getting the boys to school I came home and shoved everything in the car which surprisingly almost managed it. Just had to tie the trunk closed.
After a stop at N40 for weed fabric I was at the job before 9am. I got to shoveling out the trench right away then began laying out the 1" poly pipe.
I worked my way around the front yard first. I had to go to 4 zones which ended up being EXACTLY the right amount of poly pipe in the 300 foot roll I got. It just barely will work I think. 6 rotors in the front yard split between 2 zones.
The reason to have fewer heads on a zone is that I am having to plumb from a hose bib which has less volume than an open line.
Around noon I had to run home for a saw, drill bit, bite to eat, then another stop at N40 for more 90s and Ts.
I have the front 2 zones finished, nozzled, and aimed. I started on the side but stopped at the valve box. I went to the garage and popped a hole in the wall for the signal wire, then installed the controller and wired it in. The spool is sitting outside and will need to be run in the trench with the water lines back to the valve box.
It was about 3pm and I had to head out to be in time to pick R up after STEM. The back yard will be done this afternoon.
Some wild looking clouds were in the sky as I waited for R. They had a very painted look to them.
The alpaca was more alert and looking a wee bit better. She keep rolling down hill though as she tries to stand.
We all ended up checking on her after I had a shower I headed up. She looks to have flopped around again last night.
Today is busy as well. I have an 8am at my one client's up north to fill planter, install a Ring camera, and install hinges on her cabinet. Then I will head home for a bite to eat, gather any other tools then head back to finish the irrigation install. I'm sore waking up and likely will be more sore by the end of the day. I am taking the weekend off from jobs as I need to get in some riding miles.
