The quarter inch of rain we got out of the storms was nice and yesterday morning the fog was hanging around until it warmed up and burned it all off.
Found this trekking pole fly swatter that I printed and it fits on one of mine pretty well.
The clouds came back over and I decided NOT to go fly given the look of them. They ended up being nothing for the day.
The Emiko cabbage has gotten bigger and I needed to harvest some to make room for the others to grow.
9 of them bagged I ended up with 17 pounds that went to the cooler.
Put the mud guard on J's bike but the connector part keeps breaking so I have to figure that out.
The tree by the gate needed a bunch of branches cut away so the solar panel isn't blocked. There are a bunch of dead branches on the tree and I only got the lower ones I could reach with the pole saw.
While I cut the branches my package arrived with the new lens cover glass for my camera. The lens cover costs about $20 to get from the manufacturer so I did the smart thing and got watch glass the exact right size, a pack of 5, and used one of them as the new lens. A small line of T-7000 and the glass is like new. I have the 4 extra in case this one dies.
I was headed out to to try the guard on J's bike again, I had set the stuff on the garbage can and turned to look at the ground and I saw this really nice sized gopher snake stretched out on the ground.
I got my gloves on and was able to get a hold of it.
Nice and strong snake that was very healthy looking. It was rather mellow but finally had enough of being handled as it kept trying to rattle it's tail, which felt funny.
I called the boys out to see it then let it go next to the shed where it likely slithered under. SUPER happy to have the snakes out and about the farm. Wouldn't mind if they found their way to under the house where they could get the mice.
My paragliding book collection is large and getting larger. 2 more are on the way, but these are THE primary titles available.
Out to soak for a while before bed.
Back to normal weather again, I have my chiro appointment this morning, have the printer working already, will clean around the house and farm, keep the washing machine running loads, and get the boys to do some cleaning.
