🌊✨ Exposición "Mar de colores de Miguel León" en el C.C. Parque Costa Azul ✨🌊[ESP-ENG]

¿Hola amigo de Hive account@hivemargarita cómo están? ¿Cómo han pasado sus días? Por este lado estamos bien, un poco perdida por diferentes motivos, pero siempre pendiente de pasar y dejar mi contenido.

En la Isla de Margarita siempre pasan cosas bonitas, pero a veces no nos enteramos o no nos damos el tiempo de disfrutarlas. Por eso hoy quiero invitar a toda la comunidad de Hive account@hivemargarita a darse una vuelta por el Centro Comercial Parque Costa Azul y conocer una exhibición que vale la pena “Mar de Colores” del artista Miguel León.

Según pude leer un poco de su historia en su stand, Miguel es un creador que lleva años explorando el color, la textura y la forma de una manera muy particular. A partir del 2014 comenzó a experimentar con una técnica que él mismo creó, mezclando polvos parecidos al yeso con una resina especial, acrílicos modernos y pinturas metálicas. Esta combinación le permite lograr efectos vitrificados, llenos de brillo y profundidad, con un relieve que hace que cada obra parezca casi viva. Su herramienta principal sigue siendo la espátula, la misma que ha usado toda la vida con el óleo, pero ahora llevada a otro nivel para conseguir esos volúmenes que tanto caracterizan su estilo. A esta técnica la llamó “pictórica en relieve” y es justamente lo que podrán apreciar en esta exposición.

La muestra está compuesta por varias piezas que capturan la esencia del mar, la luz y la vida que nos rodea aquí en la isla. Entre ellas destacan:

-El Faro de Veracruz, una obra que combina energía, movimiento y esa sensación de horizonte infinito que todos reconocemos.
-El Pulpo Margariteño, lleno, textura y ese toque juguetón que tiene la fauna marina.
-El Pez Globo o Traje Cangrejo, una pieza que mezcla humor, detalle y un manejo del color que atrapa de inmediato.

• Dragón de Fuego, quizás la más sorprendente, donde el pintor juega con tonos intensos y efectos metálicos que hacen que la obra parezca encenderse frente a uno.

Son piezas que llaman la atención incluso desde lejos, pero cuando te acercas descubres los relieves, las capas, los brillos y la cantidad de trabajo que hay detrás. Es de esas exposiciones que a uno le agrada sin necesidad de saber de arte, simplemente te paras frente a cada cuadro y lo disfrutas.

Además, es una oportunidad bonita para apoyar el talento local, para conocer a un artista que ha dedicado años a perfeccionar su técnica y para recordar que en Margarita también se hace arte del bueno, del que inspira y del que nos conecta con lo que somos.

Así que si estás por la zona, o si tienes un rato libre esta semana, date una vuelta por Parque Costa Azul. La exhibición está allí, abierta para todos, y de verdad vale la pena verla. Es un paseo distinto, agradable y una forma sencilla de llenar el día de color. Está ubicada al lado de la feria muy cerca del centro de postres de Macdonald. Beautiful things are always happening on Margarita Island, but sometimes we don’t hear about them or don’t take the time to enjoy them. That’s why today I want to invite the entire Hive account@hivemargarita community to stop by the Parque Costa Azul Shopping Center and check out an exhibition worth seeing: “Mar de Colores” by artist Miguel León.

From what I could gather from his booth, Miguel is an artist who has spent years exploring color, texture, and form in a very unique way. Starting in 2014, he began experimenting with a technique he developed himself, mixing plaster-like powders with a special resin, modern acrylics, and metallic paints. This combination allows him to achieve vitrified effects, full of brilliance and depth, with a relief that makes each work seem almost alive. His main tool remains the palette knife, the same one he has used his whole life with oil paint, but now taken to another level to achieve those volumes that so characterize his style. He called this technique “pictorial relief,” and that is precisely what you will be able to appreciate in this exhibition.

The exhibition features several pieces that capture the essence of the sea, the light, and the life that surrounds us here on the island. Among them are:

-The Veracruz Lighthouse, a work that combines energy, movement, and that sense of an infinite horizon we all recognize.
-The Margariteño Octopus, rich in texture and that playful touch characteristic of marine life.
-The Pufferfish or Crab Suit, a piece that blends humor, detail, and a use of color that immediately captivates.
-Fire Dragon, perhaps the most surprising, where the artist plays with intense tones and metallic effects that make the work seem to light up right before your eyes.

These are pieces that catch your eye even from a distance, but when you get closer, you discover the reliefs, the layers, the shimmer, and the sheer amount of work behind them. It’s one of those exhibitions that you enjoy without needing to know anything about art; you simply stand in front of each painting and enjoy it.

It’s also a wonderful opportunity to support local talent, to get to know an artist who has spent years perfecting their craft, and to remind ourselves that Margarita is home to some truly great art—the kind that inspires us and connects us to who we are.
