Ethereum has many alliances, partnerships and major companies “bought in” to what it’s vision is for smart contracts and the web.
The question is intended to be a little thought provoking and of course every one would have different opinions and then even go on to tell you why Ethereum won’t even win — as they promote their new coin which is still in the concept stage.
The point is Ethereum (or others) what they can bring to “the new web experiences” for users is a level about the existing applications we know today with Facebook and other social media platforms. Will Facebook be around in 10 years? Not as we know it. Censorship will not be tolerated —- AND — like on STEEMIT — people like the feeling of getting paid for their content in a “non censored manner” of course.
Ethereum is in the very early stages of delivering what Vitalik Buterin espouses. A few things you cannot take away from Ethereum:
- ETH has a very large “first mover advantage” in this space and significant development community.
- Major corporations have “bought in” to Ethereum and are moving forward with Business Plans.
KEY to remember:
- the BEST technology does not always win the race
Ethereum today handles more transactions than others which would surprise many.
When EOS and others have developed at the same stage ETH is at today — then ETH or others as well will have another year under their belt with more and more capabilities and partnerships — so it’s about time.
You see the Big 8 Consulting firms have major ETH practices and business models for revenue —- they take these models to the world. Do you think they are going to stop all they have been doing and say “lets go this direction instead” when nothing is ready and not capable of producing revenue?
New and better doesn’t always win for various reasons.
Because EOS, Verge etc....all are coming from a lower price point they could certainly win the % gains war over the next 12 months. We will see how all develops.
One thing we can be sure of Facebook won’t be the same.
Thoughts?
