I was again unemployed, and although I was dedicated to my grandmother and her care, I kept looking for one that would fit my needs, as I also wanted to help at home with the expenses of medicines and treatments for my beloved old lady. One day, while walking around Maracay, one of my best friends called me to ask me what I was doing, I told him nothing and he asked me to help him in his office to make some budgets and put together some folders to participate in a bidding process for a work of a government institution, without knowing absolutely nothing about where I was going, I told him yes, I totally had nothing to do that day and it was a good opportunity to talk and catch up with our lives.
That's how my adventure with civil engineering began, because although I graduated as an industrial engineer, thanks to the fact that I told my friend that if that day, I worked for about 5 years with him in this world, without leaving aside my knowledge of industrial engineering and safety at work because that's how I entered this world. One of the things that I will always be grateful to Carlos Angustias (that's what I say to him as a friend), is that even though I didn't know anything at all about his work, he opened the doors of his father's company to teach me, one of his first words, when I told him, is that I don't know anything about this! They were, Don't worry, this is easy, I'll teach you! So I spend a week helping him because I like what I do and without charging a penny.

A month after I helped him, he called me to say he hadn't won the tender but had been called to start building a new wing at one of the biggest companies in the country, which happened to be just a few minutes away from my village, He was required to have an engineer in the area of occupational safety and he needed me for that, because I was someone he trusted, I doubted it for a while, but after analyzing, the pay was very good, in a week I would earn what I could generate in a month within another company, in those days the construction company was one of the best paid in the country.

That's how my journey through the world of construction began, thanks to Carlos Angustia, a person who cannot rest easy. He got another couple of jobs with this company and in less than two months he had already left me in charge of one of his biggest projects within it, the construction of a freezing cellar and a shed for the production of French fries, Here I had to take care of absolutely everything, in three months I had gone from being unemployed to helping him make budgets and assemble civil construction projects to managing a civil work, he even assigned me a vehicle so I could move faster since my truck months before had been stolen. It was really a dream, everything I had studied for had finally arrived.
After finishing these sheds and cellars, we built a small building that would serve as a dressing room and dining area for the workers of the company, the truth is that this was one of the works that I liked the most because it was really beautiful, it is a pity that at that time I did not have a good phone to take pictures and keep them for myself, I took all of them with the camera of the company and I never thought that today I would want to have them.
There I met Carlos Angustias' cousin, Diego, who would later become my brother in life, someone who has been my confidant up to now and was my accomplice in many of my mischief, because besides enjoying this job like nothing else in the world, I had the opportunity to meet many people and go out to parties almost every weekend, in which Diego was always with me, he was really good at pimping that being. Thanks to this job I was able to acquire a lot of knowledge that I had not acquired in the university, the experience that I managed to obtain a couple of months was crucial for what my life would be in the next 5 or 6 years. In addition, thanks to this job I was able to do what I wanted to do, which was helpful with my grandmother's expenses, plus because I had a car, I could come and go without any inconvenience and share more time with my grandmother, who died in September of that year.

Nuevamente me encontraba sin empleo, y aunque estaba dedicada a mi abuela y sus cuidados, no dejaba de buscar uno que se adecuara a mis necesidades, pues también quería ayudar en casa con los gastos de las medicinas y tratamientos para mi amada viejita. Un día paseando por Maracay me llamo uno de mis mejores amigos para preguntarme ¿Que estaba haciendo?, le dije que nada y me pidió que lo ayudara en su oficina a hacer unos presupuestos y armar unas carpetas para participar en una licitación para una obra de una institución gubernamental, sin saber absolutamente nada de donde me metía, le dije que sí, total no tenía nada que hacer ese día y era buena oportunidad para hablar y ponernos al día con nuestras vidas.
Asi fue como comenzó mi aventura con la ingeniería civil, pues si bien me gradué de ingeniero industrial, gracias a que le dije que si ese día a mi amigo, trabaje por unos 5 años con el en este mundo, sin dejar de lado mis conocimientos de ingeniería industrial y de seguridad laboral pues con ese fin entre en este mundo. Una de las cosas que siempre le agradeceré a Carlos Angustias (así le digo de cariño), es que aun cuando no sabia nada en absoluto de su trabajo, me abrió las puertas de la empresa de su padre para enseñarme, una de sus primeras palabras cuando le dije ¡Es que yo no se nada de esto! Fueron, ¡No te preocupes, esto es fácil, yo te enseño! Así paso una semana en la que estuve ayudándolo por que me gusto lo que hacia y sin cobrar un centavo.

Un mes después de haberlo ayudado me llamo para saludarme y decirme que no había ganado la licitación pero que lo habían llamado para que iniciara la construcción de una nueva ala en una de las empresas más grandes del país y que casualmente quedaba a unos pocos minutos de mi pueblo, me pidió que lo ayudara, que le exigían tener un ingeniero en el área de seguridad laboral y que el necesitaba de mi para eso, pues yo era alguien en quien el confiaba, lo dude por un rato, pero después de analizar, la paga era muy buena, en una semana ganaría lo que podía generar en un mes dentro de otra empresa, en esos días la empresa de la construcción era una de las mejores pagadas del país.

Así fue como comenzó mi travesía por el mundo de la construcción, gracias a que Carlos Angustia es una persona que no puede estar tranquilo, consiguió otro par de obras con esta empresa y en menos de dos meses ya me había dejado encargada de uno de sus proyectos más grandes dentro de ella, la construcción de una cava de congelación y galpón de producción de papas fritas, aquí tenia que encargarme de absolutamente todo, en tres meses había pasado de andar sin empleo, a ayudarlo a hacer presupuestos y armar proyectos de construcción civil a gerenciar una obra civil, incluso me asigno un vehículo para que pudiera trasladarme más rápido ya que mi camioneta meses antes había sido robada. Era realmente un sueño, todo por lo que había estudiado, finalmente había llegado.
Luego de culminar estos galpones y cavas, construimos un edificio pequeño que serviría como área de vestidores y comedor para los trabajadores de la empresa, la verdad es que esta fue una de las obras que mas me gustaron, pues era realmente hermosa, es una lastima que en ese entonces yo no contaba con un buen teléfono para tomar fotografías y guardarlas para mí, todas las tomaba con la cámara de la empresa y nunca pensé que hoy quisiera tenerlas.
Alli conocí al primo de Carlos Angustias, Diego, quien se convertiría mas adelante en mi hermano de la vida, alguien que es hasta el momento mi confidente y fue mi cómplice en muchas de mis travesuras, porque además de disfrutarme este trabajo como nada en el mundo, tuve la oportunidad de conocer muchas personas y salir de fiestas casi todos los fines de semana, en lo que Diego siempre estaba conmigo, realmente era bien alcahuete ese ser. Gracias a este empleo pude adquirir muchos conocimientos en su mayoría que no había adquirido en la universidad, la experiencia que logré obtener un par de meses fue crucial para lo que seria mi vida en los próximos 5 o 6 años. Además, gracias a este empleo pude hacer lo que deseaba, que era ayudar con los gastos de mi abuela, además que por tener automóvil, podía ir y venir sin inconvenientes y compartir mas tiempo con mi abuela, que en septiembre de ese año murió.
