Today I cooked a tomato sauce with basil and garlic. This is the original Italian recipe, I hope you like and try to have a tomato sauce with extraordinary basil taste.
The ingredients:
- Tomatoes
- Olio Extravergine
- Himalyan Salt
- Basil
- Brown sugar
- Sodium bicarbonate for cooking
- Garlic
- Peeled tomatoes
Clean the peeled tomatoes and put them in a bowl for the beginning.
After that add in a wok Olive Oil, after that add the garlic and the fresh basil leaves and you can also put basil dry if you don't have fresh.
To fry it slowly for two minutes after which it is removed, only the oil with the taste of garlic and basil must remain.
Then add fresh peeled tomatoes, add a spoonful of brown sugar and boil for 10 minutes.
After adding a little salt and sodium bicarbonate, see the quantity of a teaspoonful and add one ladle or two of water.
Let boil for twenty minutes, after that add the pulp so this way we will have a creamy sauce with tomato pulp.
After that leave it for another 15-20 minutes to boil.
After the sauce is ready, leave it in a bowl to cool down to preserve it.
This tomato sauce can be preserved in the refrigerator or in the freezer, of course, after our sauce has cooled completely, we have a very good sauce that can be used for pizza, bruschetta, paste etc.
