We are entering interesting times with the youtube platform. Demonetisation, censorship, algorithm changes and youtube deliberately burying certain videos they don't like in the search results.
DTube, although still very new now offers a increasingly serious and advantageous alternative to youtube, enabling anyone can earn steem dollars from popular video content. Already many people are making more money on steemit than on youtube, despite having mature youtube channels. 
This is a strong indication of how powerful this new platform is, especially as it is still very early days and not even version 1.0 yet. The decentralised nature and blockchain technology free content creators of the issues we are currently seeing on youtube today. However it still lacks some of the major benefits of youtube, mostly in terms of audience and performance. But given time, D Tube has the ability to shatter the Google's monopoly on video sharing: it is simply a better model.

One thing I did not include in this video but am impressed with is Steem's 3 seconds transaction time. That's even faster than ripple and by far one of the most promising looking altcoins in the market right now for long game investments.
