Entrepreneurs who want to start businesses on the Steem blockchain
Investors who want to work with them
We believe that Steem is an ideal place for starting blockchain businesses that are a level of abstraction above the blockchain layer, and that it will get even better for that purpose after the establishment of Smart Media Tokens in early 2019. We want to make sure that potential entrepreneurs and investors have enough information to be successful here in conceiving, developing, and operating their businesses.
In addition to providing information for potential investors, we'll be featuring stories of entrepreneurs and investors who are already here on Steem. We'll talk to entrepreneurs about why they're here, and what they see in Steem as a currency platform to build their business upon. Investors are harder to contact, but hopefully we'll also be able to talk to some of them about what they look for in a project before they decide to put their resources into it, and what they would like to see from entrepreneurs seeking funding.
Eventually maybe we'll even be able to serve as a connection between the two, helping people who want to start businesses get together with the people who would like to make a capital investment into those businesses. For that purpose we expect to also be addressing some of the basic legal complications around starting a corporation on the blockchain, and issuing shares, whether that's in terms of traditional stock or blockchain-backed ownership tokens.
We'll also be looking for strong business-related posts related to startups on the blockchain to resteem. Our goal is to be a place that you can direct an investor who is interested in Steem, in order to learn all about the advantages of starting a business here, or investing in one.
We're independent entrepreneurs here ourselves, so we want to learn more just as much as we hope other people do.
