Hola mis apreciados lectores y amantes de la gastronomía, este fin de semana me dedique hacer pastel de chocolate. En esta ocasión les compartiré un lindo relato.
I remember when I was a child, my mother used to make one of the best chocolate cakes I have ever enjoyed in my life, she used to make it for our special occasions, like birthdays or when we would travel to the beach.
Recuerdo cuando era niña, mi madre solía hacer uno de los mejores pasteles de chocolates que he disfrutado en mi vida, ella solía hacerlo para nuestras ocasiones especiales, como cumpleaños o cuando viajábamos a la playa.

The cake was fluffy, with one or two layers of smooth, creamy chocolate. The chocolate frosting was thick and melt-in-your-mouth delicious! even if I close my eyes now, I can remember the taste and smell of that freshly baked chocolate cake.

All my sisters remember my mother's chocolate cake and with longing we tell her that she was the best baker in the world. When we enjoyed the cake it was something sublime, we all kept quiet and we could only hear sighs and short words like: I want more mom, don't give it all away, save it for later, etc.
I remember enjoying that slice of cake to the fullest when Dad would make a stop after a long trip to the beach.
Era costumbre que mamá nos permitiera ayudarla a mezclar los ingredientes y decorar el pastel con esa suave crema que se distribuía poco a poco sobre el pastel cubriéndolo en su totalidad.
El pastel de chocolate de mi mamá todos mis hermanas lo recuerdan y con añoranza le decimos que era la mejor repostera del mundo. Cuando disfrutábamos del pastel era algo sublime, todos nos callábamos y solo se oigan suspiros y breves palabras como: quiero más mamá, no lo repartas todo, guarda para mas tarde etc.
Recuerdo disfrutar al máximo esa rebanada de pastel cuando hacia papá alguna parada luego de un largo viaje a la playa.
