More snow! A couple days of 40+ ºF and then winter came back with a vengeance! Fortunately, the university is on spring break, so I could enjoy the blizzard. Visibility was near zero for most of Monday afternoon.
After the storm cleared off, we were left with about eight inches (24 cm) of heavy, wet snow. It was perfect snowman weather, so I decided to make one. This is something I haven't done for many years, and I was a little too ambitions.
Does he look aboriginal to you?
It's difficult to see from the photo, as there's no frame of reference, but the bottom ball is about four feet tall. I had to build a snow ramp to get the second ball in place, as it weighed over 150 pounds! A ladder was needed to place and decorate the head.
So far, spring break has been relaxing. Unfortunately, I do have a lot to get done. The communication in all of my classes is a bit of an issue, so I discovered that I need to do a lot of work. I'm back in Rochester, though, so I have a more comfortable work space. I came back early to celebrate a family birthday, complete with home-made cake!
And, now, it's back to homework.
