The guard had practically kicked us out of the archaeological site so we took the road to the beach. Anyway it was time for our lunch and although it was out of season, we could probably find some seaside restaurants open for the day.
Situated on the northwestern coast of the Argolic Gulf, Myloi is a popular fishing village and local tourist destination for its beaches and restaurants, hotels, market, and bakery open for most of the year.

I like visiting summer resorts during the winter. I find them charming in their abandonment. As a matter of fact, they often remind me scenes from the books of Fyodor Dostoevsky, with noble ladies and spiritless princes, walking on the empty beach.
The wind and the very few people made the scenery even more novelish. Ideal for some black and white pictures, on this lazy Sunday afternoon!
The Argolic Gulf looks more like a big lake rather than the sea. We had started our day from Nafplio which was now on the opposite shore, making a large seaside circle (or maybe I should say half circle). Our route wasn't exactly as shown in the map below because we made a few detours on the way but I just wanted you to understand, what's the landscape like and what you see in the pictures.
I am probably not doing justice to the place with my obsession to always find the most derelict buildings and the most untended spots but what can I say, I am a sucker for the charm of decay. And I have probably said that more than once :)
This is my entry for the #monomad challenge.
The camera that I used is a Canon EOS 6D mark II with an EF 24-105mm f4L lens attached. I edited the photographs in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic
All the pictures and the words are mine.
