The unincorporated community that I live in is a rather large area. To walk around in all of it would be a daunting task for sure. I isn't that I mind the walking. But, it is the time factor. So much time is needed. And even though I may have more free time than most people do. Pat and now Katie and Matt, are always trying to set the agenda for me. Ha.
Pat is leaving for a month though. That will give me a little more time.
She is going to the wide open spaces. Ohio farming country.
The above is some Florida open space in my community. A retreat of sorts that I like.
I know that some of you are really maxed out for time. Here is a little pretty for you that I saw as I was walking along.
This is a local church area that many gather in during the week and on Sunday.
It was started by a local dentist whose name was Jarl.
He and his wife were originally from the state of Michigan I think.
It looks to me that their sign or marquee needs some work done on it.
Oh yes. I know the old saying. "twenty percent of the people do eighty percent of the work." Ha
No, I don't go there now. I only to go there to vote at election time.
It is one of the polling areas for the local people.
Here is another ditch that carries water to one of the local lakes/ponds in our area.
It is common in our community for some people to put up a remembrance sign of sorts for other to see. Such as this one. Donations are often associated with it too.
I think that some of you may have seen this before. But if you did not. Lots of trees for shade in the relaxing and walking area.
I am now on the trail and the canal area. So we will see boats and other floating devices as we walk along. One time I saw a large barge going up the canal. It nearly filled the whole canal from one side to the other.
The bicycle riders are riding today as well. It has been very warm here for this time of the year. It is a good time to be on the trail.
This is a view of one of the boats that are common to see on the canal.
This is a very nice boat. All the creature comforts that one would want.
One little problem. Who keeps it looking nice and cleaned up? Not counting the maintenance?
We all like to look at something very pretty and appealing to our eyes to look at. But, then comes the work to keep it that way.
Sure. You can hire someone to do it for you. Good luck with that. Hired help is looking for a paycheck. Not so much the work. Ha
A little smaller and easier to keep up with. If you like to fish and maybe tow some skiers. This could be one that would do?
This is turning into a "boat walk." Let us see if we can see anything else that interesting. Here is a sign of warning.
Some Florida habitat.
This looks like a cedar tree to me. Very unusual for this part of Florida.
A green plant that grows all year long. That is why this part of Florida is so nice.
Green all year long.
The beginning of pine cones. I don't see this very often. At a level that I can easily see it.
If you want to get off the trail and walk through the terrain area. Here is a good mowed area to start from.
Spring is already showing up here in this part of Florida. Very unusual I think.
Maybe I just don't remember though.
That ends our walk and post for you and Steemit today. Maybe I can show some of the shopping amenities and
stores that we have in our local area for the next post. We'll see.
Since this work covered different looks of interest.
I will have to find a video/song that could speak to our lives and thoughts at times.
What shall it be?
We know this doesn't happen. Not very often anyway.
Must of us want assurance. Not something or someone that could be possible.
But, let's have look and listen anyway. Just because we can. There will be others.

Just think. I could have added an "Adele" song. But I didn't.
Maybe at a later time.
Thank you for following along with me on my walks and thoughts.
For you and Steemit is my goal.
Thank you
Francis
