The One Piece anime has started with one of the saddest and darkest flashbacks and character origins in One Piece and having characters that have had a hard time like Nico Robin, Law and several others, Kuma's past is undoubtedly the saddest by far, especially for how this character ended at the end of this story arc. The anime episode 1129 adapts in its entirety the pages of manga chapter 1095. And it begins exactly as they ended previously, with Bonney stabbing Saturn because she knows that all of Kuma's suffering and her own has been a product of this world government character.
As expected, Bonney's attack has no effect against Saturn since he regenerates automatically and for the first time we see one of the special abilities of the highest ranking characters of the world government: regeneration, an ability that is currently gaining importance in the manga.Saturn holds Bonney and paralyzes Vegapunk, Franky and the others with one of his mysterious abilities, while you order the marines to shoot Bonny in the head to finish her off once and for all. It is at that moment when Kuma's flashback begins, which starts from his birth. But before that, Saturn says that Kuma belongs to the extinct race of the Buccaner and that in the past they had committed a crime against humanity, a crime that to this day has not been clarified.
His father is of the Buccaner race, but his mother is not, this race has been persecuted by the government for the crime they have committed, so having Kuma is almost a death sentence for him. The parents' happiness does not last long as they are discovered and sent to Mary Geoise and turned into slaves, due to their high resistance Kuma and his parents are perfect slaves for the foul Celestial Dragons, who once again prove how foul and vile they can be against those they consider inferior to them. Kuma begins to be treated with physical and mental abuse and to further damage his mind he receives the news from his father that his mother has died.
This is just one of the bad things that Kuma will experience in most of his life, but at the same time, thanks to his father, Kuma meets the Liberation Warrior Nika, the god that the slaves worship and who will free them from their torments. But again misfortune strikes Kuma and his father is shot and killed in front of him. This part in the manga was pretty brutal, but I think in the anime they did an excellent job, especially in the way the drops of blood fall on Kuma, it was fast and shocking.
The pace of the episode is very good, very dynamic and there are no slow moments, something that is to be appreciated. The episode changes location and now we go to God Valley, the famous place previously mentioned, where Roger and Garp joined forces to defeat Rocks, so here we are shown a little bit of the beginning of this conflict, although in the manga they don't show more than that. The Celestial Dragons along with other government agents have taken control of this island to make one of the most ruthless and tragic events of One Piece and they have taken the inhabitants of this island as hostages and have also taken several slaves to be used as prey, which will be hunted by the Celestial Dragons, whoever kills more slaves will earn points and there will be prizes. Without a doubt this is one of the most grotesque things that the world government can do and I am looking forward to seeing all those who have been in charge of making these things happen suffer.
Kuma escapes from the cell in which he was imprisoned, but is found by other slaves who had been forced to look for them, but when they had already captured him and were taking him back to his cage, one of the most important characters of the Revolutionaries enters the scene: Emporio Ivankov, this being the first time that these two characters meet and giving us to understand that this character was also a slave of the world government.Along with Emporio Ivankov, there was also Ginny, a character that besides being very important for the events to come on the island, is also very important for Kuma himself, thus ending the episode. It was a great episode, a good adaptation of the manga pages, which together with the music and voice acting, made me moved and saddened by this beginning of Kuma's tragic life.
El anime de One Piece ha iniciado con uno de los flashback y orígenes de personaje más tristes y oscuros de todo lo que lleva One Piece y teniendo a personajes que la han pasado mal como Nico Robin, Law y varios otros, el pasado de Kuma es sin duda el más triste con más diferencia, especialmente por como terminó este personaje al final de este arco argumental. El episodio del anime 1129 adapta en su totalidad las páginas del capítulo del manga 1095. Y empieza exactamente como terminaron anteriormente, con Bonney apuñalando a Saturn debido a que ella sabe que todo el sufrimiento de Kuma y el de ella misma ha sido producto de este personaje del gobierno mundial.
Como era de esperarse el ataque de Bonney hace 0 efecto contra Saturn ya que este se regenera automáticamente y por primera vez vemos una de las habilidades especiales de los personajes de más alto rango del gobierno mundial: la regeneración, una habilidad que actualmente en el manga está tomando gran importancia. Saturn sostiene a Bonney y paraliza a Vegapunk, Franky y a los demás con una de sus habilidades misteriosas, mientras ordenas a los marines a dispararle a Bonny en la cabeza para así terminar con ella de una vez por todas. Es en ese instante cuando empieza el flashback de Kuma, el cual inicia desde su nacimiento. Pero antes de eso hay que mencionar que Saturn dice que Kuma pertenece a la extinta raza de los Buccaner y que en el pasado estos habían cometido un crimen contra la humanidad, crimen que hasta el día de hoy no se ha aclarado cual haya sido.
Ya entrando en temas del flashback vemos el nacimiento de Kuma, su padre es de la raza de los Buccaner, pero su madre no, esta raza ha estado siendo perseguida por el gobierno por el crimen que realizado, por lo que tener a Kuma es casi una sentencia de muerte para él. La felicidad de los padres no dura mucho ya que los descubren y son enviados a Mary Geoise y son convertidos en esclavos, debido a su alta resistencia Kuma y sus padres son esclavos perfectos para los asquerosos Dragones Celestiales, los cuales una vez más demuestran cuan asquerosos y viles pueden ser ellos contra aquellos a los que consideran inferiores a ellos. Kuma empieza a ser recibido con malos tratos tantos físicos como mentales y para dañar aún más su mente recibe la noticia por parte de su padre que su madre ha muerto.
Siendo esto apenas una de todas las cosas malas que vivirá Kuma en gran parte de su vida, pero a la vez, gracias a su padre, Kuma conoce al Guerrero de la Liberación Nika, el dios al que los esclavos adoran y es quien los va a liberar de sus tormentos. Pero nuevamente la desgracia golpea a Kuma y su padre es asesinado frente a él de un disparo. Esta parte en el manga fue bastante brutal, pero creo que en el anime hicieron un excelente trabajo, especialmente en la forma en como las gotas de sangre caen encima de Kuma, fue rápido e impactante.
El ritmo del episodio es muy bueno, muy dinámico y no hay momentos lentos, algo que es de agradecer. El episodio cambia de locación y ahora nos vamos a God Valley, el famoso lugar que anteriormente se mencionó y en dicho lugar fue cuando Roger y Garp unieron fuerzas para derrotar a Rocks, con lo cual acá nos muestran un poco el inicio de este conflicto, aunque en el manga no muestran más allá de eso. Los Dragones Celestiales junto con otros agentes del gobierno han tomado el control de esta isla para hacer uno de los eventos más despiadados y trágicos de One Piece y es que han tomado a los habitantes de esta isla como rehenes y también han llevado varios esclavos para ser usados como presas, las cuales serán cazados por los Dragones Celestiales, quien mate más esclavos ganaran puntos y habrán premios. Sin duda esto es una de las cosas más grotescas que puede hacer el gobierno mundial y tengo muchas ganas de verlos sufrir a todos los que se han encargado de que estas cosas sucedan.
Kuma escapa de la celda en la que estaba aprisionado, pero es encontrado por otros esclavos los cuales habían sido obligados a buscarlos, pero cuando ya lo habían capturado y lo estaban llevando nuevamente a su jaula, entra en escena uno de los personajes más importantes de los Revolucionarios: Emporio Ivankov, siendo esta la primera vez que estos dos personajes se encuentra y dándonos a entender que este personaje también fue un esclavo del gobierno mundial. Junto a Emporio Ivankov, también se encontraba Ginny, un personaje que además de ser muy importante para los eventos que se avecinaran en la isla, también lo es para el propio Kuma, terminando así el episodio. Fue un gran episodio, una buena adaptación de las páginas del manga, lo cual junto con la música y actuaciones de voz, me hicieron conmover y entristecerme por este inicio de la trágica vida de Kuma.
