Today I jumped head first into the world of cryptocurrency trading. Tearing into the a world that until recently didn't even exist...to me.
There has been so many new things that we have learned since beginning our adventure on Steemit. We have learned basic things like creating accounts, or uploading pictures via URL. We have learned how to navigate and explore many things that are offered on Steemit, and haven't even begun to wrap our minds around how complex the blockchain is.
With all of this learning has come alot of creating. We have been creating better content and overall blog structure. We have been taking better pictures and learning to edit. Our account is starting to resemble an account of someone that is trying hard.
Now the fun part
We have been blessed enough by the Steemit community that we have made enough Steem to trade out. Through this process we have had the help of a well known Steemian. He has walked us through a couple of options and has helped us figure it out.
Here is what we did
So I am going to throw this right out there. Today I decided to take a break from coffee, and learn new online skills at the same time. No doubt, this wasn't the best idea.
I knew enough about selling my steem to know that I needed a way to get it from Steemit and into BTC. For this I used Blocktrades. It is very simple. Just plug in numbers and addresses and BTC wallet numbers and something from this page over here and balance a fish bowl on your head....
Well, that is how it initially felt, as I looked across the room at my empty coffee cup....
For the next part of trading from BTC to USD I used Coinbase. This one was pretty straight forward also. 😉
Also, I watched several videos about how all of this is done. I am not at all old, and all of the videos were made by someone I was pretty sure isn't old enough to drink alcohol. One even mentioned that if you don't know what a BTC number was _"Bruh, you missed it and this may not be for you". _I refused to give up. I sat patiently sipping my orange juice, occasionally blowing on it before i sipped thinking it was coffee....kids don't start drinking coffee. It starts coffee with creamer and sugar, then it is straight black coffee to keep the edge....next thing you know you're snorting lines of coffee grounds just to get your day started
Ok, so back to trying to get my piece of this digital pie. I got it to work. No doubt it is because of my genius level intellect and problem solving capabilities....or the support of my loving wife , support from experienced Steemians, the cheeky kids that made me feel old, and my dog. Life is good and God is great! Good luck with your adventure.
