I've been wanting to tell you in more detail why I've been powering so far down. My upvote right now is worth next to nothing - SBD 0.01 - which makes me cringe because when I see good content I want to give it so much more than that.
You may not even have noticed the power down happening. You may have made your own conclusions and you may not even care. In that case, skip to the 'plans going forward' part of the post and I'll catch up with you there.
Am I leaving the platform?
When I see people without a lot of SP powering far, far down I jump to one of two conclusions: clearly, they are either leaving the platform or in dire financial straits. I've not used the Steem to pay rent (but man, if I could do that someday wouldn't that be something!) and I'm not leaving the platform either.
What I've done is funnelling all of that Steem into seed money for my business. The Pinterest Affiliate side of the business required some money to automate a bit and then there was hosting etc. to be paid for the ministry side, which is not yet launched.
I'm incredibly thankful to everyone who has ever given me an upvote. Those upvotes mean I've been able to start working on my business/ministry without adding any strain to our one-income household budget. I was even able to trade some Steem for a logo.
Plans going forward
(To the one who skipped the first part here's a short summary: I used the Steem to start my business, I'm not leaving, thank you if you've ever given me an upvote - see, now we're all caught up, let's get to the plans for the future).
I'm pretty vested in this platform and I want to grow my ability to bless others on it with my upvotes. Thus I won't be powering down any further at the moment. I will continue to do the 50/50 split on my posts and I will be cashing out the SBD I receive on a regular basis to aid the cash flow of my business. I have a few things I'm saving up for in the business and the SBD will be a great help towards reaching those goals and furthering my business/ministry. I don't have any plans to actually pay myself in 2018. I'm funnelling all income back into making the ministry better.
I'm also hoping to post a lot more. I've recently added the Rise and Shine posts, which are a lot of fun to do, although sickness has meant I've not done any for the last few days.
As always, you can support my business easily by upvoting this post,

Until next time, keep your hands busy and your hearts quiet.
