Harley-Davidson's newest prototype nicknamed Livewire will be launched in 2020
The motorcycle manufacturer that is well known for it's distinctive engine sound
had some challenges to overcome in the beginning.
It has been several years that Harley Davidson is working on a electric motorcycle.
When the Harley-Davidson Livewire was first announced back in 2014, many
motorcycle enthusiasts could only guess how it would sound.
The Importance Of Sound
Bill Davidson who is the great grandson of co-founder William Davidson
revealed that the engineers employed by his company developed a unique jet like sound.
We have been studying our competition for years and learned a lot says Davidson.
For the Harley-Davidson Company it was not an easy decision to make, there motorcycles
were always recognizable by their typical V-twin engine sound.
It would not have made sense to give the Livewire a combustion engine sound because
of it's look and feel.
The Harley Davidson Company will make this new sound it's own promised Bill.
