Ukwa is also known as African breadfruit is one the popular Igbo foods, so it is well worth a reasonable place on the lists of food eaten by the people in the eastern region of Nigeria.
INGREDIENT
Ukwa, Potash (Akanwu), Fresh pepper, Ogiri, Maggi, Salt, Red oil, Maize (Optional)
METHOD
- Cook the maize till it is very soft
- Wash the Ukwa
- Put in a cooking pot and cook to boiling point before adding potash, dissolve the potach in water in water and filter out the residue.
- You can add Ugwu to the Ukwa
*Add maggi - Add Red Oil
