In Slovenia, where the Avsenik Brothers Ensemble rolls around and entertains people and beef soup is in honour, innovation is also amongst the daily activities of the people.
A shopping mall, named Bitcoin City is born. No, it's not exactly a city of Bitcoin enthusiasts and crypto fanboys, but a regular shopping mall, with the differnce that they're in the process of rolling out crypto payments for all their stores.
Rocking over 500 stores, the mobile payment pilot program for paying with cryptos is running already in 24 shops - electronics, clother, entertainment. The payments are accepted by a specifically designed mobile app Elipay and should the project kick off, perhaps we see this Slovenian shopping mall becoming the first crypto center in the world.
The name though - BTC City - is not chosen randomly. The actual name of the shopping center is Blagovno Transportni Center, which is aptly shortened to BTC City Ljubljana.

With the government of Slovenia announcing that they intend to become a leader in blockchain technology and it's adoption, this move takes them a step forward in that direction.
Mobile and anonymous crypto payment app is something that i've desired for a long time. Irrelevant of the Bitcoin price, a local mall near my home with full crypto support would find much favor here.
