Alarming news for any Steem holders who had hoped to get their free share of VIT (Vice Industry Tokens) for holding some Steem at the time of block 18,500,000, which was on Dec, 29th, 2017, yet good news for some others. Yesterday evening I received this e-mail from vicetoken.com, informing me that the Steem airdrop has been called off.
While this is a little disappointing for those who were hoping for some free VICE, it's good news for those, who already have or plan to purhase some during the crowdsale, which has a week left to run. Namely, those who already bought or will buy until the end of crowdsale, will receive a 50% bonus on their purchase. I happen to be one of those who believes, that this venture has great future, should they be more polite with their customers - i own 20K VIT and will receive a nice bonus - but unfortunately, when asking on Telegram about their decision to back off the Steem aidrop, i was sent packing without a warning and denied future access to their Telegram channel
