Virtual reality is coming.
A couple weeks back I wrote about Spectiv. It’s like a YouTube for virtual reality videos. I like the concept and the team, check it out if you haven’t already.
Today I’m going to talk about another virtual reality project on the blockchain, Decentraland It’s having a token sale starting August 17, more on that in a moment.
Decentraland is a virtual reality platform powered by the Ethereum blockchain. It’s like the Second Life of virtual reality.
On the platform users can create their own world, have virtual experiences, and monetize content and applications.
You start by purchasing virtual land, which you own with an immutable record of ownership on the Ethereum blockchain.
What you can do on Decentraland is only limited by your imagination.

The token sale starts on August 17. You can get all the details from the website.
Decentraland has a $25 million hard cap to sell its MANA tokens. Each 1,000 MANA starts at a price of $24 and 1,000 MANA entitles you to 1 LAND.
You’ll need LAND to own your own piece of Decentraland. As the token sale goes on, the price of MANA increases up to $40 per 1,000 MANA.
I might try to participate in the sale, just for speculative purposes.
