We’re getting GlobalCoin.
Sounds, well, made up.
GlobalCoin is part of Facebook’s Project Libra initiative.
Broadly, it’s Facebooks plan to launch a cryptocurrency-based payments system.
And it looks like it will be running on GlobalCoin.
Sorry, but I think the name is terrible lol.
Anyways, Facebook recently registered a new entity called “Libra Networks” in Geneva, which will “provide financial and technology services and develop related hardware and software.”
And they’re in the process of raising $1 billion to fund the project.
Can’t Zuck do that with his pocket change?
Overall, I plan to buy BTC instead.
