Lots of big companies have been getting into crypto and blockchain…
Samsung, Walmart, IBM, Salesforce, Fidelity, ICE, Facebook, etc… the list keeps growing.
And now it looks like Apple is jumping on the bandwagon.
Apple just announced “CryptoKit”, a new framework that will allow developers to perform cryptographic operations securely and efficiently.
It was quietly released as a part of the iOS 13 update. And kind of lost in the mix as Apple’s Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) is currently running.
The crypto community likes that CryptoKit will allow developers to use public-key cryptography to create and evaluate digital signatures and perform key exchanges.
Viktor Radchenko, the founder of Trust Wallet, said Apple’s newest addition to iOS 13 means it could have full hardware wallet functionality in the future.
It looks like with Samsung integrating cryptocurrencies, Apple is looking to not be left behind.
Another positive step forward for the crypto universe.
