One of the absolutely amazing aspects of Steemit is getting to know great people with similar interests as yours. With some of them I keep in touch and even though we never met, I do feel a connection.
Two days ago one of those stemians in my list (), surprised me with a post, in which she indicates that I was her inspiration to draw Santa Claus with a "калпак". It is pronounced kalpak and is a hat from the Bulgarian folklore. She also drew other Santa Clauses from Greece, Scandinavia and Scotland.
I just couldn't rests to strike back! Draga , this is for you
Those are supposed to be elves with traditional costumes from Serbia (left) and Bulgaria (right). The Serbian flag is white, blue, red and the Bulgarian is white, green, red. So I decided to swap the colors green and blue in the pants to have a symbioses of the costumes.
Basically, I spent my Christmas day drawing this. According to google translate "Срећан Божић" means "Merry Christmas" in Serbian. Hopefully it got it right.
I feel that some day me and will eventually meet. Bulgaria and Serbia are neighbor countries and I heard that sometimes she comes to Bulgaria. I have been to Serbia as well. Who knows? Until then Steemit will continue to cross our ways and help to explore each other's work. You should check her profile if you are into fantasy art.
Merry Christmas to all of you stemians.
Wishing you all the health, success, happiness and love you can handle!
