¡Hola mis queridos amigos de Hive! Espero que estén disfrutando de esta hermosa época de Navidad. Es el momento perfecto para dejar volar nuestra creatividad y, por eso, hoy quiero compartir con ustedes un proyecto muy especial. Vamos a transformar esas viejas esferas navideñas que ya perdieron su brillo y se ven desgastadas, en piezas nuevas y renovadas utilizando simplemente retazos de tela.
Es una forma fantástica de reciclar, ahorrar y personalizar nuestro árbol con un toque artesanal.
Para comenzar con esta transformación, necesitarás los siguientes materiales:
- Retazos de tela.
- Silicón (frío o caliente).
- Tijeras.
- Hilo dorado o cordón.
- Cintas decorativas.
Lo primero que debemos hacer es preparar nuestra superficie de trabajo. Toma la esfera o bambalina que desees renovar y, con mucho cuidado, retira la pieza metálica o plástica de la parte superior (donde se cuelga). Esto nos permitirá trabajar la tela de forma mucho más limpia, tal como se observa en la foto.
Una vez que tengas la esfera sin el casquillo, toma el retazo de tela seleccionado. Debes cortar un trozo lo suficientemente grande para envolver la esfera por completo. Mi consejo es que midas la tela sobre la bola antes de cortar para asegurarte de que cubra toda la superficie y sobre un poco en la parte superior.
Ahora, aplica un pequeño punto de silicón en la base inferior de la esfera. Fija allí el centro de tu tela y comienza a subir hacia los lados. La clave para un acabado profesional es ir aplicando puntos de silicón poco a poco mientras estiras la tela con firmeza. El objetivo es evitar que se formen arrugas o pliegues innecesarios, logrando que la superficie quede lo más lisa y prolija posible.
Cuando hayas cubierto toda la esfera y la tela esté bien sujeta en la parte superior, corta los excedentes de tela que puedan estorbar. Vuelve a colocar la pieza superior que retiramos al principio (el casco de plástico o metal para guindar); esto servirá para ocultar las uniones de la tela y darle un cierre perfecto al diseño.
Ahora, puedes añadir un lazo pequeño utilizando cinta decorativa, encaje o incluso cinta de raso en los colores que desees.
Para finalizar, pasa el hilo dorado o el cordón de tu preferencia por el orificio para poder guindarla.
¡Y listo! Ya tienes una bambalina totalmente renovada y lista para lucir en tu árbol de Navidad.
Me encantaría ver que ustedes se animen a realizar sus propias creaciones, no se arrepentirán. Recuerden que pueden mezclar texturas, usar telas de prendas que ya no utilicen o incluso combinar varios colores en un mismo árbol. Yo hice solo 4 y agregue al árbol de navidad, combinadas con las que ya había comprado anteriormente.

It's the perfect time to let our creativity run wild, so today I want to share a very special project with you. We are going to transform those old Christmas baubles that have lost their shine and look worn out into new and renewed pieces using nothing more than scraps of fabric.
It's a fantastic way to recycle, save money, and personalize our tree with a handmade touch.
To begin this transformation, you will need the following materials:
- Fabric scraps.
- Silicone (cold or hot).
- Scissors.
- Gold thread or cord.
- Decorative ribbons.
The first thing we need to do is prepare our work surface. Take the sphere or bambalina you want to renovate and, very carefully, remove the metal or plastic piece from the top (where it hangs). This will allow us to work on the fabric much more cleanly, as shown in the photo.
Once you have the sphere without the cap, take the selected piece of fabric. You should cut a piece large enough to wrap around the sphere completely. My advice is to measure the fabric on the ball before cutting to ensure that it covers the entire surface and overlaps slightly at the top.
Now, apply a small dot of silicone to the bottom of the sphere. Fix the center of your fabric there and start moving up towards the sides. The key to a professional finish is to apply dots of silicone little by little while stretching the fabric firmly. The goal is to avoid unnecessary wrinkles or folds, making the surface as smooth and neat as possible.
Once you have covered the entire sphere and the fabric is securely fastened at the top, cut off any excess fabric that may be in the way. Replace the top piece that we removed at the beginning (the plastic or metal hook); this will hide the fabric seams and give the design a perfect finish.
Now, you can add a small bow using decorative ribbon, lace, or even satin ribbon in the colors of your choice.
Finally, thread the gold thread or cord of your choice through the hole so you can hang it up.
And that's it! You now have a completely revamped garland, ready to adorn your Christmas tree.
I would love to see you try your hand at making your own creations—you won't regret it. Remember that you can mix textures, use fabric from clothes you no longer wear, or even combine several colors on the same tree. I only made four and added them to the Christmas tree, combining them with the ones I had already bought.
