Greetings friends. It's been a while since I've posted something about my Pokémon collection. Well, today I come with yet another figurine to add to this colorful group of Pokémon I've been making. The last one I made was a lovely Bellsprout, which was not as easy as you think, but I managed to make it and there it is in my collection.

Well, today it's Chansey's turn, a character that was suggested by

Saludos amigos. Desde hace un tiempo que no publicaba algo sobre mi colección de Pokémon. Pues bien, hoy llego con otra figurita más que añadiré a este pintoresco grupo de Pokémon que he estado haciendo. El último que hice fue un encantador Bellsprout, que no fue tan sencillo como creen, pero que logré hacer y ahí está en mi colección.

Step by step
The materials I used to make this figurine were plasticine, wire and aluminum foil. The idea of using the aluminum foil is to create a round shape so that Chansey was not completely made of plasticine, so it wouldn't weigh so much.
As you can see in the image below, I made a rounded but long shape, like an egg, but made of aluminum foil, as you can see in the image below.
Paso a paso
Los materiales que utilicé para hacer esta figurita fueron, plastilina, alambre y papel de aluminio. La idea de usar el papel aluminio es para crear una forma redonda para que Chansey no fuese completamente hecha de plastilina, para que no pesara tanto.
Como pueden ver en la imagen de abajo, hice una forma redondeada pero larga, vamos como si fuese un huevo, pero hecho de papel de aluminio, tal como pueden observar en la imagen de abajo.
Once I made the base shape with aluminum, I took a small piece of pink plasticine and began to cover the aluminum with it, trying to give the shape more similar to that of an egg, as this is the shape that Chansey has.
I had to smooth the surface very carefully, trying not to leave fingerprint marks, although this is not entirely easy, but the attempt was made.
Una vez hice la forma base con aluminio, tomé un trocito de plastilina rosada y comencé a cubrir el aluminio con esta, tratando de dar la forma más parecida a la de un huevo, pues esta es la forma que tiene Chansey.
Tuve que suavizar la superficie con mucho cuidado, tratando de no dejar marcas de huellas digitales, aunque esto no es del todo fácil, pero se hizo el intento.
After making the egg shape that I showed you in the picture above, I continued working on different elements of the Pokémon, such as the feet and the healing egg in front of it.
In the picture below you can see how I made these pieces, there they are without wires or anything to hold them, because before placing them on the body, I had to do other things first.
Después de hacer la forma de huevo que ya les mostré en la foto de arriba, continué trabajando en distintos elementos del Pokémon, tal como los pies y el huevo curativo que tiene delante.
En la imagen de abajo pueden ver cómo hice estas piezas, ahí están sin alambres ni nada que las sostuviese, pues antes de colocarlas en el cuerpo, debía hacer otras cosas antes.
Something very important is to define the height at which the arms should be placed. These are attached to the body; that is, they have no dividing lines between the body and the arms, so after taking two small pieces of pink plasticine and molding them in the shape of grains of rice, I smoothed the joints so that no difference or separation could be seen between the joints.
Algo muy importante es definir a qué altura debía colocar los brazos. Estos están unidos al cuerpo; es decir, no tienen líneas divisorias entre el cuerpo y el brazos, así que tras tomar dos trocitos de plastilina rosada y moldearlos con la forma de granitos de arroz, luego suavicé las uniones para que no se viese diferencia o separación entre las uniones.
Well, something more characteristic of this Pokémon is this kind of hair on the head, like curved locks to the sides.
The way I made them was very similar to the little arms, with the difference that the tip of the “tufts of hair” are a more intense pink, but I joined them in the same way as I did the arms, without showing the joints on the head, all integrated, as shown in the image below. Three strands on each side.
Pues bien, algo más característico de este Pokémon es esta clase de cabello en la cabeza, como mechones curvos hacia los lados.
La manera en que los hice fue muy similar a los bracitos, con la diferencia que la punta de los "mechones de cabello" son de un rosa más intenso, pero los mechones los uní de igual manera a como hice los brazos, sin que se viesen las uniones en la cabeza, todo integrado, tal como se observa en la imagen de abajo. Tres mechones a cada lado.
Next was to make the catira. This is very small compared to the body, so I had to make very small elements for the eyes and the tiny mouth of the character.
A very important detail, although it seems insignificant, is to place some white dots on top of the black eyes, this to simulate the brightness of the eyes.
Lo siguiente fue hacer la catira. esta es muy pequeña en comparación al cuerpo, así que tuve que hacer elementos muy pequeños para los ojos y la diminuta boca del personaje.
Un detallito muy importante, aunque parezca insignificanete, es colocar unos puntitos blancos encima de lo negro de los ojos, esto para simular el brillo de los ojos.
The last thing I did was to place some small pieces of wire to nail the feet to Chansey's body, so that they could hold on to the aluminum foil that the figurine had inside.
Ya lo último que hice fue colocar unos trocitos de alambre para clavar los pies en el cuerpo de Chansey, de manera que pudiesen sostenerse en papel aluminio que la figurita tenía en su interior.
This way the figurine was finished. Below you can see a series of photographs of the final result:
