Hello guys! Today is going to be a different kind of post than usual, but still presenting a beautiful city - my hometown, thanks to for hosting this awesome contest! š
This contest is about your hometown but better check the original post to find out more! š
So I'll begin with a little introduction: Slatina is located in the south of Romania very close to Olt river. The city appeared back with 650 years and has a population of 70,293 thousand inhabitants even if it's a small city. šš¼
Enough with the boring details, now let's take a trip in my city to discover more interesting things!
I will start with the center of the city called Esplanada - the main attraction for the residents. This place is where all the concerts and festivals are hold in town, being surrounded by pubs, fountains, lights and even a park which starts right from Esplanada. š
No matter whether it's spring, summer, autumn or winter, this park is always a nice place to go by and sit on a bank, read a book, have fun with your friends, listen to the song of birds or simple admire the falling leaves. This park is also a place where are taken a lot of wedding photo shoots. š
If we continue our journey down the road throw the park we will get to the old town. Another place where the residents are going when they want to stay in a relaxing place, admiring the architecture of the old buildings or the photo shoots are taken over there. šø
When we go further we reach the bridge over the Olt River. Some may say it's just another bridge, for me it has way many more meanings. This is the place where I've seen the sunset with some friends, the place where I released lampiones with important people from my life on one of my birthdays, the place where I've seen together with my family, the city exploding in fireworks in the night of 2016-2017, and many more memories to be created..ā¤ļø
There is no other peaceful place in town than watching the sun rising and going down..š
There is also that little building you see on top of the hill called The Wedding House (RO: Casa Casatoriilor). The nice fact is that the way up to it it's a road surrounded by graffiti walls designed by students but each painting says a lot more that words could ever say. This is also another place where teenagers are going when they want to have a good time with their friends, enjoy the city from above and also see a beautiful sunset. š
These being said, I really love that I got the chance to talk about my city as I truly love it and would never think about making an article about it. Hope you enjoyed the journey we took together and can't wait to see your hometowns too! š¤
