Well dressed

I have always sought to be as well dressed as I can be although I also make sure that I'm appropriately dressed for the situations I'm in; you'll not see me wearing a tuxedo at the hardware store for instance. My parents were always well dressed and imparted that ethos to me which I'm grateful for because it's opened a lot of doors and that aside, I feel better about myself when I feel I have represented well to others including how I look and act.

I don't necessarily see being well dressed as relating to designer or expensive clothing because I think it's less about and more about the clothing as how a person wears it: The right colours for the person's complexion, clothing that matches, fits well and is accessorised well - There's little point in taking the time to dress well and put on a pair of shoes that simply don't work or to forget the belt when a belt is required. It's the little things sometimes.

No amount of money spent on clothing can make a fucken asshole anything other than a fucken asshole.

What are your thoughts? What makes a well dressed man or woman in your estimation, how do you feel when you are well dressed as opposed to being dressed shabbily? How do you determine what to wear and when? Do you judge people on how they look outwardly and what part does clothing play in that?
